Hemp Oil, Why I’m In Love (Plus Some Thanksgiving Outtakes)

Happy holidays all! I hope everyone has enjoyed a great Thanksgiving, and that you’re successfully gearing up for the weeks ahead. We all have a lot to be thankful for, and this year we feel especially thankful in our house. Who ever thought we would have TWO babies this Thanksgiving? Ha! Not us!

This week has been a wild one (yet again!). Isla came down with a sudden fever last Monday and while it broke just 24 hours later, it was quickly followed by a rash which turned out to be hand, foot, and mouth. If you’re not familiar, don’t get on Google. It’s enough to terrify anyone. Bottom line, baby germs suck, but I try to stay positive and look at it like all kids get sick at some point. Isla is building up lots of immunity while she’s young, and especially during these cold weather months, but if anyone smells bleach and Lysol this season, it’s probably coming from our house!

We were thankfully cleared to enjoy Thanksgiving with our extended family since it had been more than 24 hours since Isla had a fever. And now more than week later, it also looks like mom and dad–and most importantly, Josie–didn’t get it. So, without further ado, here are a few photos from our festivities. Can you tell our wild child was sick? I can’t!

Thinking about our immune systems, and general wellness, I’m talking about a new supplement that I have recently fallen in love with: hemp oil. As a personal trainer, I’m focused on promoting health, wellness, and balance in the body and the more I learned about hemp oil, the more I knew I needed to share some info about this oil; something natural and that has the potential to support all the things I believe in. As I write this post, I’ll be linking out to all kinds of sources like the New York Times, Washington Post, and more. So feel free to click through and learn with me.

Hemp oil is exploding globally and sales are estimated to surge in upcoming years. Legal in all 50 states, I’ll say here on the east coast, hemp oil is still kind of “taboo.” But slowly I’m seeing news stories come out about hemp oil and all the people it’s benefiting. This oil is not pot people! Not even close! It’s actually something everyone can use. Hemp oil is a great option that can support healthy immune function, delivering endless health benefits, without the psychoactive or “high” effect associated with this type of botanical This is because instead of benefiting from THC in cannabis, hemp oil relies on the CBD or cannabanoids, which means you don’t get “high.”

While I wish everyone could make all the right choices–eating healthy, exercising, getting enough sleep, etc–I know that’s not a reality. For anyone really, myself included. Who is actually able to make the best choices 100% of the time? So, here’s where hemp oil becomes a part of anyone’s routine. Hemp oil literally jump starts the endocannabnoid part of your immune system. Did you even know this part of the immune system existed? Or do you know what it does? I didn’t (to learn even more, you can click that link)!

Additionally, hemp oil can be a great alternative to potentially help relieve symptoms associated with over 250 conditions such as chronic pain, inflammation, migraines, PTSD, sleep disorders, anxiety, epilepsy, seizures, fibromyalgia, MS, nausea, high blood pressure, addiction, autism, and so much more. While the FDA doesn’t allow companies to promise alleviation of symptoms because so much research is still being done, personal testimonials are flooding the internet. In my research, here are three articles that really stood out to me. I honestly feel like these just speak for themselves, but I’ll let you decide.

And here are a few, more specific articles I found interesting. These are related to just a handful of ailments, but there is so much more info available on the web:

I’m so impressed by everything I’m reading and the results people are experiencing that I actually connected with a company with one of the highest quality products available. This is not a decision I made lightly. I’ll say I have turned down numerous opportunities to “sell” products with all kinds of health and wellness companies. Mainly because they sell products that aren’t natural enough for me and I felt like I would be “selling out” on all the values I care most about. I also never thought I would write a post about hemp oil. But again, this just isn’t something I could stay quiet about and I am so excited to say I don’t feel that way about this hemp oil. This supplement is really helping people and I want to help even more.

So, what do you think? Are you in love with the idea of hemp oil? Do you want to try it? Or, have you tried it already? What is your personal experience? I’d love to hear about it. Share in the comments below.
